Just about every business, website and blog worth its salt has a Facebook page. How can you make yours stand out? GOSO’s Welcome Applet is an easy to use, customizable solution that doesn’t require you to write a single line of FMBL or HTML.
You can use the Welcome Applet to create a custom welcome tab for any Facebook fan page you administrate. Just select the page you’d like to install it on and grant the app the permissions it needs to work. Then, you can customize your welcome tab as desired. There are several different custom background options available, but you can also upload your own custom backgrounds as well. If you want to show off your HTML expertise, you can do so using the Custom HTML option, but you don’t have to know any HTML to use the app. You can even add a YouTube video to your welcome tab just by pasting the embed code!
Like the Video Applet, the Welcome Applet was a breeze to use and only took a couple of minutes to install. I do wish there were a way to easily change the font style and color without using custom HTML. As it is, you can only change the font size. Otherwise, however, I was impressed.
